In the Fall of 2023 I took a Digital Media Skills class at MTSU. This experience refreshed my memory on the basic fundamental skills of digital media. I was able to apply these skills immediately in my line of work as a Small Business Marketing Manager and Social Media Administrator for a NASCAR Creative Content platform.

Small Business Saturday is the peak of the busiest season for Small Business owners in retail. An entire day Americans have purposefully set aside to focus and support Small Businesses. It sounds intimidating to some, but to others it sounds like an opportunity for them to capitalize and generate large amounts of revenue. Eagleville Mercantile views it as the latter. Each year they look forward to welcoming the masses to their little shop to help them find the perfect something for the holiday season.
Making a Small Business Christmas
The months of November and December are arguably the biggest months of each year for any small business. I took a trip to Eagleville Mercantile & Restoration to see how they were preparing for the Holiday season. The Mercantile specializes in locally crafted home decor and furniture, and they go all out for Christmas. I visited them just 24 hours after Halloween and the entire place was nearly transformed and in the Christmas spirit.
Experiencing NASCAR: On a Bristol Weekend
Nestled within the East Tennessee hills, Bristol Motor Speedway lights up the September night sky. Each Fall the World's Fastest Half-Mile hosts fans from all across the world for a crown jewel event: The Bristol Night Race. The event has gained tremendous fame over the years for its hot tempers, aggressive racing, and coveted bragging rights. It is enjoyed by drivers, fans, and any human being who doesn't mind making new friends inside the Last Great Colloseum.
